The third iteration of the Asia Pacific Print Club traveling exhibition made its Philippine stop in 2024 at Gravity Art Space, inviting local participation through featured works and live demonstrations. For this leg of the project, Marz Today Studio and Overinked Studio were invited as guest print studios, contributing to the exhibition’s ongoing focus on regional printmaking practices and studio cultures.

As a small printmaking studio, we chose to present the works of our Chief Creative for this exhibition. It was also an opportunity to reflect on what our studio can offer in terms of representing other artists—particularly those we’ve worked with or taught in past workshops and programs.

One of the featured works presented by Marz Today Studio was the Marzing Machine, a mobile mini-print dispensing machine that functions both as a print distribution tool and as a sculptural object. Its presence in the exhibition introduced a different model for engaging with prints—one that bridges accessibility, collectibility, and informal modes of circulation. The machine featured a curated selection of mini-prints made available for purchase and exchange during the exhibition’s run.

Alongside the exhibition, public printmaking demonstrations were held to engage local audiences with direct, process-based activities. These demos showcased a range of techniques from the participating studios and were designed to be open and accessible, encouraging questions and informal exchange. For the demos, Marz Today Studio brought a selection of stamps for the public to use.

By including both exhibited works and interactive components, the Philippine edition of Asia Pacific Print Club #3 emphasized the varied ways printmaking continues to be practiced and shared across the region. The involvement of independent studios like Marz Today and Overinked highlighted the collaborative networks and resource-sharing that shape much of the current print scene in the Philippines.
