Art in The Garden at Fundacion Sanso returns with an exciting lineup of artists and printmaking activities.
Fundacion Sanso is thrilled to announce the return of its Art in The Garden, on May 4, 2024. This event is a casual mini-fair with a focus on creativity. It features original artwork, prints, and art merchandise. And the best part? 100% of the sales go directly to the artists.
Held in the serene surroundings of Fundacion Sanso’s garden, this laid-back summer art fair provides the perfect opportunity to shop for unique pieces, meet talented artists and printmakers, or simply mingle and make new friends.
This year’s event coincides with Print Day in May, a global printmaking celebration that encourages printmakers of any skill level to make prints. In observance of this occasion, Fundacion Sanso has a line-up of free workshops and demos conducted by skilled artist-printmakers. From 1pm to 2pm, artists Anton Villaruel and Hanna Nantes will showcase a variety of relief printmaking techniques such as rubber cut and collagraph techniques using Cranfield Inks and the Limbag Kamay press.
Following that, Hanan Initiative will lead a workshop on the basics of printmaking using Inday Cadapan woodblocks. Guests are invited to bring their own items to print on, such as shirts, bags, or paper.
Another highlight is Marz Today’s Marzing Machine a mini print vending machine. The machine features mini prints from it’s first series titled “Mga sangkap sa hain ni lola” (The Marzing Machine: Ingredients for what Grandma’s serving.) The machine will make a special Print Day in May stop at Fundacion Sanso as the series was toured in Iloilo, Quezon City, and now San Juan for just one day. The series is set to be retired on June 21, 2024 at Gravity Art Space’s Gift shop. After this series, Marz Today will be introducing a new mini print editioned series for the Marzing Machine.
Art in the Garden also features artworks, books, and merchandise from the following artists: Hannan Initiative, Marz Today, Imao Studio, Tet & Maggie, Everything’s Fine PH, Rigmat, Far Eastern University-IARGA, and works by the Fundacion Sanso Team.

This event takes place at Fundacion Sanso, located at 32 V. Cruz Str., San Juan, from 10 am to 6 pm on May 4, 2024. Admission is free, no need to register, simply drop by.
